Bernd Page, einem der Mitbegründer der Umweltinformatik in Deutschland, würdigen und reflektieren, indem sie wesentliche wissenschaftliche Methoden und Verfahren, aber auch wirtschaftlich relevante Aspekte aus der Arbeit von Bernd Page diskutiert und aufzeigt. Gleichzeitig gibt die Festschrift aber auch einen Einblick in die Historie und Aktivitäten einer langjährig aktiven Wissenschaftsdisziplin, die inzwischen im deutschsprachigen Raum auf eine rund 30jährige Vergangenheit zurück blicken kann.
