Dieser Text ist dem "Jahr der Mathematischen Biologie 2018" ("The Year of Mathematical Biology 2018") gewidmet.
Das Ziel ist hier die Untersuchung der mitochondrialen Genome ausgewählter Vertebrata, die auf einen Beginn bei dem Gen ND1=1 und unter Verwendung von einigen Quintupeln als Marker verschoben wurden. Die Berechnungen erfolgten unter Nutzung der Datenbanken des National Center for Biotechnology Information NCBI.
Die Ergebnisse sind der Übersichtlichkeit halber wieder weitgehend in Tabellenform dargestellt.
