Streamline Segment Statistics in a Wavy Turbulent Channel Flow
Streamline segments are a type of coherent structure within turbulent flows which can serve as a means to analyze the turbulent flow behavior and contribute to future modeling approaches. In recent studies, a fundamental model equation for the propagation of their statistics has been proposed for homogeneous turbulence. In this thesis, the measurement, detection, and analytical description within the frame of the model equation is extended to inhomogeneous turbulence. The analysis is based on data recorded in a turbulent wavy channel flow.
