AbstractIonospheric scintillations impact the phase and amplitude of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) signals. Modeling the scintillation parameters, i.e. scintillation phase and amplitude, with autoregressive processes we derive a dual Kalman filter based algorithm. This algorithm estimates the AR model for the scintillation parameters together with the scintillation and GNSS signal parameters. The performance of the algorithm is assessed with simulated and measured signals in comparison to performance bounds and state-of-the-art algorithms.
