| Abstract: | Der jährlich stattfindende Workshop der Fachgruppe „Simulation in den Umwelt- und Geowissenschaften“ fand 2024 zum nunmehr 33ten mal vom 10. bis 12. April in Leipzig an der Staatlichen Studienakademie Leipzig statt. Erklärtes Ziel der Fachgruppe ist es ja, das Themenfeld Umweltmodellierung und Umweltsimulation sehr weit zu fassen, um im interdisziplinären Dialog gemeinsame Probleme und natürlich auch Lösungsansätze zu erkennen sowie alte und neue Methoden der Informatik für ihre Eignung in Umweltanwendungen aufzubereiten und zu diskutieren. Das Spektrum des Workshops ist durch eine Auswahl der Beiträge im hier vorliegenden Band dokumentiert. Es lassen sich 4 Themenschwerpunkte erkennen: Informatikmethoden zur Umweltplanung, klassische Modelle in Biologie und Geophysik, sowie die mehr methodologisch ausgerichteten Komplexe mit starkem Informatik-Bezug einerseits und analytischen Ansätzen zur Systemoptimierung andererseits. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
