Einstein Rediscovered: Interactions with Indian Academics
Albert Einstein, who had high respect for Mahatma Gandhi, is the best known scientist to the general public as well as the scientific community. Historians have studied his life and scientific work in detail. Surprisingly, his interaction with Indian men of science and culture remains unexplored. In the present book, a modest effort is made to explore: (i) his relation with Indian intellectuals, mainly physicists, such as S.N. Bose, M.N. Saha, D.M. Bose, and C.V. Raman et al., and (ii) reception of Einstein's light quanta and theory of relativity by the Indian scientific community.
