Biostatistische Modelle für die Perimetrie
Die klinische Entwicklung eines Medizinprodukts mit Messfunktion ist wegen der neuen EU-Verordnung über Medizinprodukte aktuell. Hier wird sie an einem gelungenen Beispiel beschrieben von den frühen Machbarkeitsstudien über die Erhebung von Referenzwerten bis zu Studien zur Nutzenbewertung. Dabei ist das wiederkehrende Motiv die Modellierung des Gesichtsfelds durch ein lineares Modell. Dieses enthält Winkelfunktionen, Polynome und deren Wechselwirkungen. Je nach Verwendung in statischer oder kinetischer Perimetrie wechseln sich Leuchtdichteunterschiedsempfindlichkeit und Exzentrizität als abhängige Variablen ab. Selbst der Verlauf der Nervenfaserbündel lässt sich ähnlich beschreiben. Diese Modelle werden auch in der zitierenden Literatur verwendet.
